As the Director of Product Management at Air Cost Control, you will oversee the North American interconnect product management team and relationships with both current and potential suppliers. Your responsibilities will include strategic decision-making regarding stocking requirements, pricing strategies, and product marketing campaigns. As a member of the leadership team, you will contribute to the growth and success of the organization by driving product development initiatives, ensuring supplier satisfaction, and optimizing the product offering.


  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers to drive product development and supplier relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential strategic partners to gather insights, understand market dynamics, and foster collaboration.
  • Demonstrate a robust understanding of aerospace interconnect products, encompassing connectors, cables, and related components, to effectively lead and contribute to product management initiatives within the aerospace industry.
  • Develop joint marking campaigns with strategic partners to achieve market objectives.
  • Establish annual forecast for product families and by manufacturer.
  • Drive sales and marketing efforts by working cooperatively with Regional VP's, Sales Directors, Outside Sales Reps, Customer Support, and other team members.
  • Establish and maintain market based pricing and customer specific product catalogs by market type
  • Review stocking requirements and inventory levels to optimize product availability and minimize excess stock.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, conduct competitive analysis, and utilize customer intel to strategically grow our strategic partners market share.
  • Conduct quarterly or monthly business reviews with Strategic Partners
  • Visit strategic partners headquarters and manufacturing facilities.
  • Encourage joint visit between suppliers and A2C business development team.
  • Communicate issues and opportunities to strategic partners to quickly resolve issues and win opportunities.
  • Negotiate and evaluate terms of supplier agreements.
  • Create a reoccurring product training with suppliers and A2C sales team for existing and new products
  • Define product roadmaps and prioritize new product development initiatives based on market demands, profitability, and customer requirements.
  • Monthly and quarterly communication and reporting of revenue, profitability, and sales strategies
  • Proactively and continually work to creatively sell off slow moving inventory.

Experience & Education:

  • Aerospace electrical/interconnect sales, manufacturing or Distribution experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Aerospace supplier/product management field.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing product strategies

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful global product strategies, including new product introductions and lifecycle management.
  • Strong business judgment and understanding of financial principles related to product profitability, pricing, and revenue growth.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, stocking methodologies, and inventory optimization.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate market trends and customer insights into actionable product plans.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
