The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for providing medicalservices for on-site clinic health units or events for Commercial and Government contracts for rapid deployments to support emergency and disaster efforts. This is a temporary position and length of assignment may vary based on operational needs and client requirements.

Location: Rapid Deployment could be to any location nationwide

**This position is notional and contingent upon contract award****

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides medical services at the scope and level of a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to preserve the health of employees and client personnel.

  • Systematically assesses the urgent or emergent health needs of patients, analyzes data, and formulates a plan of care, with other members of the medical team, which is realistic in relation to the employee's capabilities and job requirements.

  • Recognizes and treats illnesses and injuries according to established operating instructions within the scope of licensure and regulations of state employment or practice.

  • Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocols, and the Privacy Act.

  • Identifies and records the signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions.

  • Thoroughly exercises skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making daily.

  • Protects patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, assuring consistent medication administration, and assuring proper storage and maintenance procedures for all equipment and supplies.

  • Responsible for ensuring integrity and security of all privacy laws.

  • Responds to a variety of inquiries of varying complexity by using knowledge and an understanding of established policies, procedures, and practices for safeguarding information (HIPAA, PHI, PII), including maintaining confidentiality of all company proprietary information.

  • Maintains professionalism, ethical standards, discretion, candor, privacy and confidentiality of all company proprietary information, meetings, communication, and documents, including implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization.

  • Performs duties in a safe manner and follows the corporate safety policy.

  • Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contract requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Nurse Practitioner, Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) State License and the ability to be favorably credentialed. Must have2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
    If Physician Assistant, Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) State License and the ability to be favorably credentialed. Must have2 years of experience as

  • ACLS and BLS certification.

  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills

  • Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required.

  • Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high paced environment without physical limitations.

  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.

  • Willingness to travel in the U.S. as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous COVID-19 or Emergency Response experience.

  • 2 years' ER-Triage, Infection Control or CriticalCare Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Due to varied current global health climate, additional personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines may apply. Employees may potentially be working in an environment supporting the medical response to an emergency health crisis created by a highly infectious disease, COVID-19.

  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.

  • May require bending, stooping, and lifting as required for patient care and transport.
