Overview

Summary of Position:

Audio Visual Services Lead Technicians serve as Level II support for all AV concerns and operate, maintain, and repair sound and video equipment for use in commercial installation, live events, business conventions, meetings and webinars. Candidates should be creative, flexible and detail oriented, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.



Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure video conferencing and collaboration solutions.
  • Maintain AV infrustructure and conduct routine preventative maintenance to minimize down time.
  • Ensure installation, configuration and operation of conference room equipment exceeds our customers' expectations.
  • Facilitate and monitor key AV meetings and events, including live-streams.
  • Provide technical training with customers at end of implementations.
  • Create & maintain level I knowledge base articles.
  • Define and execute requirements for virtual & on premise events.
  • Maintain propper documentation for all projects assigned.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain maximum operability of AV assets.
  • Build relationships with cross functional teams to maximize efficiency & minimize disruption to the customer.
  • Maintain SLAs & queues in Service Now.
  • Understand and apply industry standards and best practices.
  • Identify customer needs and communicate effectively with stake holders.
  • Identify and implement alternative technology approaches to meeting customer requirements.
  • Position requires reliable, consistent and punctual on premise attendance.
  • Other job duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as an AV technician.
  • Bachelor's degree with industry certifications is preferred.
  • Certified Technology Specialist Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This role is a corporate office position which requires the Audio Visual Service Lead Technician to have the ability to manage AV equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 50 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

Additional Requirements:

  • Audio Video Troubleshooting skills must be expert level.
  • Lead AV installation experience.
  • Strong willingness to learn new systems and take on projects is a must.
  • Knowledge of A/V infrastructures & wiring.
  • Knowledge of booking tools & Microsoft and Office 365.
  • Experience with video conferencing equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of video conferencing equipment and codecs.
  • General knowledge and experience with VOIP telephony.
  • Experience providing desktop support.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Interact well with co-workers, supervisors and management.
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Document business processes that will be applied to specific audio-visual equipment and applications being evaluated.
  • Travel to different locations by air or car up to 50%.
