eDiscovery Specialist

The eDiscovery Specialist will work as part of the eDiscovery Team and will be primarily responsible to manage from start to finish basic internal legal support requests. In this role, the eDiscovery Specialist will work closely with the upper level team members to support various aspects of the eDiscovery process. Additionally, this role would collect and analyze data to include Cloud providers and on premise data repositories to support more complex inquiries with senior team members. The eDiscovery Specialist will also work closely with the legal team on the initial part of the EDRM model which is the preservation of the data.



Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of eDiscovery processes under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Contribute to data identification, collection, and preservation activities using established protocols and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data transfer and integration into eDiscovery workflows.
  • Support the analysis and review of electronic data, extracting relevant information to meet legal and investigative requirements.
  • Learn and apply industry best practices and stay informed about emerging technologies in the eDiscovery field.
  • Help maintain accurate documentation and records of eDiscovery activities, adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Work closely with IT and legal teams to understand case requirements and assist in tailoring eDiscovery strategies accordingly.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in eDiscovery tools and methodologies.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the eDiscovery team as needed.
  • Communicate project status and updates effectively with all levels of the team.


Qualifications

  • 2-4 years working in a desktop support environment, most specifically with MS Windows 7 and Windows 10.
  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong experience with MS Office.
  • Superior organizational and communication skills.
  • A keen level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Engaged and enthusiastic about work and learning.
  • Must be self-motivated, yet willing to work in a team.

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
