SUMMARY: The Sr. OEM Program Manager for Engine Accessories is in charge of all aspects of managing the business between VSE and two major OEM partners. This individual will have a complete market understanding along with high-level technical product expertise to produce deliverables to all internal and external stakeholders. This will require cross-functional work with the following contributing groups: Supplier Management, Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Customer Network Management, Legal, Finance, and others. This individual will help develop and contribute toward the execution of financial targets in line with the long-term strategic vision for this high-profile program.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for understanding OEM order requirements and ensuring they are met. This requires working cross-functionally within VSE and externally as needed to pull together all deliverables on schedule.
  • Develop a complete understanding of customer requirements of the products in order to help VSE maintain an optimal processes and policies that will provide the most benefit to the program long-term.
  • Communicate with customers by telephone or email to provide information about products or services.
  • Keep records of customer interactions or transactions; record details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well actions taken.
  • Manage a team responsible for internal process for customer orders through all internal steps and departments, ensuring work is prioritized and manages to meet contract requirements and exceed customer expectations.
  • Adheres to customer specific reporting requirements i.e., technical, reliability and performance KPIs and communicate directly to the customer.
  • Builds strong working relationships through superior customer service.
  • Escalation point to resolve customer issues using all available resources, judgement, and tools to deliver a positive solution.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the OEM team in multiple locations, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8 years of relevant/technical work experience and 5-8 years of leadership experience
  • OR an additional 3 year specific work experience in lieu of degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and scheduling applications.
  • Ability to work well in teams with others from diverse backgrounds as both a leader and a team player.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized with excellence project management skills.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in business, customer service, supply chain or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years prior experience of progressive leadership in aviation MRO/OEM industry.
  • 7+ years of large-scale program management experience.
  • 7+ years in the aviation industry.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
