Responsibilities:

  • Read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write and develop analytical procedures. Knowledge of ASTM, EPA, GLP and Standard Method lab protocols.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference and linear regression to maintain proper instrument function.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory analytical concepts and their application to the analysis of samples.
  • Working knowledge of Deposit,Water and lube chemistry fundamentals and ability to apply them to the analysis of samples.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures and operating characteristics of in-house Ion Chromatograph, ICP, UV/VIS, GC, HPLC, Auto-Titrator, FTIR, XRF and other instruments used in the analysis of samples.
  • Working knowledge of Business software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and laboratory instrument operating software.
  • Demonstrated ability to research.

Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry is preferred or equivalent experience
  • A self-starter with proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • 1 - 3 yearsexperience in an analytical lab environment preferred
  • Good communication skills/can work independently or within a team
  • Excellent multitasking skills
