The Sr. Finance Manager - Risk will be a financial business partner for the Risk organization. This role is responsible for leading the financial planning & analysis processes, partnering with the business to build business cases and prioritize investments, managing expenses, and providing broad decision support analytics to assist business leaders in running their functions.

This role will be responsible for driving a proactive, collaborative partnership between Finance and Risk organizations, deeply embedding Finance into the business, understanding the function's needs, and identifying trends and opportunities to advance Visa's overall business and financial strategy. The successful candidate will need to have the ability to work with matrixed business organizations

The role will involve delivering important insights to senior finance leaders and executive management and require strong influencing skills. Risk is a global organization that is actively involved in a number of corporate strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep background in financial and general business analysis, preferably with a public company, and demonstrated experience collaborating across functions.

Essential Functions:

Strategic Planning and Analytics:

• Become a trusted business partner to all business units and executive management

• Collaborate with global and regional teams for budget/forecast, including priority recommendations on resource allocation as needed

• Develop and present strategic insights about business trends and key industry relationships

• Develop revenue and expense plans, based on strategic business requirements in partnership with senior leaders

• Partner with business stakeholders to create business cases and analyze proposals,structure and execute complex financial modeling

• Identify and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational decision making

Financial Management:

• Prepare annual business plan and analysis

• Perform diagnostics, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting for Risk organization

• Understand business drivers and recommend measures to further improve results

• Design, build and maintain various automated reporting models leveraging Hyperion and other Visa developed reporting tools (GEAR)

• Track investment execution and workforce planning by business unit in order to periodically report business plans changes

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications
* 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
* 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
* Strong business acumen and multi functional business experience a plus
* Demonstrated program leadership capabilities to drive key financial processes
* Analytical and quantitative skills, ability to resolve tough business problems with well structured analyses
* Solution oriented and great problem solver, ability to strike balance between compliance, governance requirements and achieving business outcomes
* Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
* Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and produce time sensitive deliverables
* Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
