Genesis10 is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract with our client in Miami.

Job Description:
Are you a proactive problem-solver with a talent for navigating complex payment processes? Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. As an integral part of their finance department, you will be responsible for the follow-up of all outstanding accounts receivable across various payers, including commercial, workers' compensation, and self-pay. Your role will involve handling correspondence related to insurance or patient accounts, contacting relevant parties to maximize payments, and ensuring client profitability through effective account management and resolution of denials.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on all outstanding accounts receivable across multiple payer types, including commercial, auto, and other liability, workers' compensation, and self-pay.
  • Handle all correspondence related to insurance or patient accounts, including contacting insurance carriers, patients, and other facilities as necessary to maximize payment and identify issues or changes.
  • Interpret and rectify denials effectively to ensure maximum reimbursement.
  • Work with EDI transactions and ERA files, including reconciling carrier submissions, edits, and rejection reports.
  • Research and resolve accounts appearing on the Delinquent Insurance Report, Collection Ledger, and Government Payor report as directed by management.
  • Make appropriate decisions on accounts to be worked to maximize reimbursement.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a healthcare
  • Familiarity with commercial payers, auto and other liability payers, workers' compensation payers, and self-pay processes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with insurance carriers, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret and rectify denials.
  • Proficiency in working with EDI transactions and ERA files.
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to make informed decisions to maximize reimbursement.
  • Familiarity with Delinquent Insurance Reports, Collection Ledger, and Government Payor report processes.
