HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures is currently looking for an Engineering Technician. If you are outgoing, a fast learner and looking for a company where there is a chance for advancement, this is the position for you. The position will be located in Miami, FL. In this position, the Engineering Technician may be required to:

• Identify, research and develop DER repairs on Aircraft Components.
• Make sketches and rough layouts, record and analyze data, make calculations and estimates, and report findings to the Engineer responsible for the DER development.
• Set up and operate machining equipment to be able to fabricate tooling, fixtures and parts in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
• Repair aircraft parts in accordance with OEM and/or FAA accepted technical data.

Skills/Education & Experience:

• Proficient in the use of dimensional tools
• Must be able to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams
• General understanding of Component Maintenance Manuals
• Ability to read and interpret technical data
• Proficient in the use of 3D CAD Software
• Proficient in designing tools
• Must be able to use micrometers, calipers etc.
• Must be able to read and interpret technical data & follow verbal instructions
• Ability to measure, cut, or work on items with great accuracy
