Job Title: Investment Associate

Job Summary: As an investment associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting senior investment professionals in analyzing, executing, and monitoring investment opportunities across various asset classes. Your responsibilities will include conducting financial analysis, performing due diligence, preparing investment memos and presentations, and assisting in the development and implementation of investment strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis, including company valuation, financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
  • Perform due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including market research, industry analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Assist in the preparation of investment memos, pitch books, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support senior investment professionals in deal execution, including negotiation, structuring, and documentation.
  • Monitor and evaluate existing investments, track performance metrics, and prepare performance reports for management and investors.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes that may impact investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of investment transactions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including clients, investment banks, and industry experts.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of investment strategies, investment processes, and risk management frameworks.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required by senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, or asset management.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet).
  • Strong work ethic, team player, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated passion for financial markets and investment management.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
